Characteristic.
The piperazine derivative. Cetirizine hydrochloride - a white crystalline powder, soluble in water.
Pharmacological action.
Antihistamine, antiallergic.
Application.
Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, pollen disease, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, itching, angioedema; complex therapy of atopic dermatitis, chronic eczema, atopic asthma.
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity, including the hydroxyzine, pregnancy, lactation, Children up to age 6 Months.
Restrictions apply.
Chronic renal failure (moderate and severe degrees of severity), advanced age (may decrease glomerular filtration rate).
