Pharmacological action
Polyvitamins. Tablets Pikovit® Fort contain 11 most essential vitamins in amounts, meet the recommended daily dose for children over the age of 7 years.
B vitamins (IN1, IN2, IN6, IN12, pantothenic acid, nicotinamide) involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, protein and fat.
Folic acid (vitamin Bfrom) is required for normal synthesis, regeneration and function of blood cells.
Retinol (Vitamin A) required for the development of epithelial cells and the synthesis of the visual pigment.
Kolekaltsiferol (vitamin D) regulates the intake of calcium and facilitates correct mineralization of bones and teeth.
Vitamin C (vitamin C) It promotes iron absorption and participates in many oksilitelno-reduction processes in the body.
Tocopherol (Vitamin E) It is a physiological antioxidant, protecting and supporting the membrane function of cells.
Tablets Pikovit® Fort contain sweeteners (incl. maltitol, mannitol, Aspartame), not conducive to the development of caries.
Pharmacokinetics
Water-soluble vitamins (Group B, C and biotin) well absorbed in amounts, corresponding to daily needs of the organism. Quantity, exceeding the level of saturation of the tissues, excreted in the urine, sometimes with feces. Regular use of these vitamins is important to maintain the required concentration in the tissues, because they accumulate in the body in limited quantities.
After ingestion soluble vitamins A and D are well absorbed in the small intestine in the presence of fat. Absorption of vitamin E rather weak (25-85% dose). Higher amounts of fat-soluble vitamins in the liver and accumulate, Consequently, more toxic, than water-soluble vitamins.
Testimony
The drug is recommended for use in children over the age of 7 years, with increased demand for vitamins:
- Fatigue and lack of concentration;
- Exercise stress (incl. sport);
- Reduced resistance to infection against the background of inadequate and unbalanced nutrition;
- The reduction or loss of appetite;
- Treatment with antibiotics;
- Seasonal lack of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Dosage regimen
Tablets should be kept in the mouth until resorption.
Children under the age of 7 years appoint 1 tab. 1 times / day after meals.
If poor appetite tablets should give the baby daily for 2 months; otherwise – as needed.
Side effect
Application Pikovita® Forte at recommended doses does not cause side effects.
Allergic reactions. In such cases, you should stop using the product and consult a doctor.
Due to the presence in tablets Pikovit® forte 0.6 g maltitol at doses, exceeding recommended, may develop diarrhea.
Contraindications
- Hypervitaminosis A;
- hypervitaminosis D;
- Children up to age 7 years;
- Phenylketonuria (due to the presence in the composition of the preparation of aspartame, soderzhashtego phenylalanine);
- Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Pregnancy and lactation
Use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding may on the recommendation of a physician.
Cautions
If necessary, simultaneous with Pikovitom® Fort application of other multivitamin supplements should consult with a doctor.
Patients with diabetes may take pills Pikovit® forte, but it should be remembered, what 1 tablet contains 0.6 g maltitol. For maltitol need insulin metabolism, although due to the slow hydrolysis and absorption in the gastrointestinal tract, the need for insulin is low. Energy value 1 the tablet is about 6 kJ (1.4 kcal).
Use in Pediatrics
Do not use this drug in children under the age of 7 years.
