Pharmacological action
Multivitamin preparations. It contains a complex of vitamins, It is an important factor of the metabolic processes in the body.
Retinol (Vitamin A) involved in the synthesis of various substances (proteins, lipids, mukopolisaxaridov) and ensure the normal function of the skin, mucosas, as well as the organ of sight.
Kolekaltsiferol (vitamin D3) It plays an important role in maintaining the balance of calcium and phosphorus in the body. With its lack in bone calcium content decreases (osteoporosis).
Thiamin (vitamin B1) It normalizes the activity of the heart and promotes normal functioning of the nervous system.
Riboflavin (vitamin B2) promotes tissue regeneration, incl. skin cells.
Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) It helps to maintain the structure and function of bones, teeth, right; It affects erythropoiesis, It promotes normal functioning of the nervous system.

The drug is used in children:
- As a preventive agent for conditions, accompanied by increased need for vitamins: overwork in school children, increased physical and psychological load; in the absence of appetite and irregular, defective or monotonous diet; in the recovery period after illness, to enhance the body's resistance to infection and colds;
- In the complex treatment in the application of chemotherapeutic agents.
Dosage regimen
The drug is taken orally.
Children aged 1 to 3 years It is encouraged to nominate for 1 teaspoon syrup 2 times / day (10 ml syrup day).
Children aged 4 to 6 years – by 1 teaspoon syrup 3 times / day (15 ml syrup day).
Children aged 7 to 14 years – by 1 teaspoon 3-4 times / day (15-20 ml syrup day).
Syrup can be given with a spoon or mixed with tea, juice or fruit puree.
In the absence of appetite Syrup should be used daily for 1 of the month. Re-admission rate – through 1-3 of the month, the need to reduce or increase the interval between courses doctor decides individually.

Contraindications
- Diabetes (Pikovit® syrup for children contains 3 g sugar 5 ml syrup);
- hypervitaminosis A and D;
- Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Cautions
Against the background of possible staining of urine yellow, that has no clinical significance and due to the presence in the preparation of riboflavin.
Do not take Pikovit® in conjunction with other drugs, containing vitamins.
When using Pikovita® do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you accidentally receiving high doses requires immediate medical consultation.
Drug Interactions
Vitamin C enhances the effects and side effects of antimicrobial agents from the group of sulfonamides (incl. appearance of crystals in the urine).
