Pharmacological action
It refers to a group fuzidinu, antimicrobial compounds, mechanism of action which is associated with the violation of protein synthesis in the bacterial cell. By blocking the elongation factor G, they prevent it from binding to ribosomes and guanosine, that interrupts the release of energy, necessary for protein synthesis, and leads to the death of the bacterial cell.
To sodium fusidate sensitive Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Corynebacterium minute), Gram negative bacteria (Pseudomonas spp.).
No reports of cross-resistance to sodium fusidate.
Pharmacokinetics
Permeability fusidic acid through the intact skin and of low 0.54% of the applied amount of the drug.

Side effect
