DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES

Pharmacological action

Antibiotic biosynthetic group of Penicillins. In the basis of mechanism of antimicrobial action lies the violation of synthesis peptidoglicana – Peptidoglycan cell wall, that leads to inhibition of the synthesis of cell walls of micro-organism, suppress the growth and reproduction of bacteria.

Active against gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative cocci, Actinomyces spp., Spirochaetaceae.

Is not active against strains of Staphylococcus spp., producing penicillinase.

Provides prolonged action.

Pharmacokinetics

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to benzatina benzilpenitsillino and other antibiotics penicillin.

Pregnancy and lactation

Benzylpenicillin penetrates through the placental barrier, excreted in breast milk. Pregnancy may only, when the intended benefits to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. If necessary, use during lactation should decide the issue of termination of breastfeeding.

Cautions
