Pharmacological action.
Mucolytic, expectorant.
Application.
Diseases of the respiratory system with abundant and sticky bronchial discharge, inflammatory diseases middle ear and paranasal sinuses; Preparing the patient for bronchoscopy or bronhografii.
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity, ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, renal dysfunction, acute glomerulonephritis, cystitis, Pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Side effects.
Nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, diarrhea, gastrointestinal bleeding, allergic reactions (skin rash, angioneurotic angioedema).
Cooperation.
It increases the efficiency of glucocorticoid (mutually) and antibiotic therapy of inflammatory diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract. Potentiates the bronchodilator effect of theophylline. Activity carbocisteine weaken antitussive agents and atropine.
Dosing and Administration.
Inside. Adults-on 2 caps. or 15 ml (3 c.logki) 5% Syrup 3 once a day; after improvement - by 1 caps. or 10 ml (2 c.logki) 5% Syrup 3 once a day. Children from 2 to 5 years 2.5–5 ml (1/2–1 h) 2,5% Syrup 4 once a day, from 5 to 12 years - 10 ml 2,5% Syrup (2 c.logki) 4 once a day.
Cautions.
It should be taken into account, what 1 a tablespoon of carbocisteine in the form of syrup contains 6 g sucrose.
