Adenine

Pharmacological action

Adenine (vitamin B4) It is a component of coenzymes, nucleic acid. It participates in the regulation of hematopoiesis.

Pharmacokinetics

The data is not provided.

Testimony

Moderate leukopenia of unknown etiology in the absence of specific infections.

Dosage regimen

Individual, depending on the pattern and intensity of peripheral blood leukopenia.

Side effect

Allergic reactions.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to adenine.

Cautions

With caution and under medical supervision used in patients with uric acid diathesis, especially in high doses for a long time.

Drug Interactions

In an application with adenine potentiated the sedative effect of benzodiazepines by inhibiting their metabolism.

While the use of derivatives nitroimidazole (metronidazole, ornidazolom, Seknidazol, tinidazolom) may develop delirium disorders, confusion.

With simultaneous use of tricyclic antidepressants may increase ethanol intolerance reactions, caused by disulfiram.

With simultaneous use of adenine and warfarin (or other anticoagulants) increased risk of bleeding due to increased warfarin (slowing its biotransformation).

In an application with isoniazid possible violations of conduct and co-ordination; theophylline – slowing the biotransformation of theophylline; phenytoin – may develop toxic effects of phenytoin due to slowing its biotransformation and higher plasma concentrations.
