Characteristic.
Colourless, transparent crystals or crystalline powder astringency, without smell. In the air disappears. Very easily soluble in water, practically insoluble in ethanol, slowly soluble in glycerol (1:10). Aqueous solutions are acidic.
Pharmacological action.
Astringent, podsushivayuschee, antiseptic, immunomodulatory.
Application.
Conjunctivitis, laringit, uretrit, vaginitis - urban; the need to induce vomiting - by mouth in high doses; zinc deficiency in the body anabolic disorders, immunoassays, etc.. processes (Prevention and treatment) - Inside; gipogonadizm, alopecia baldness, cerebral palsy, liver disease, diabetes, diffuse connective tissue disease, etc.. (in the complex therapy) - Inside.
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity.
Side effects.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (high doses inside).
Overdose.
Fever, lung function, degidratatsiya, electrolyte imbalance in plasma, lethargy, disorders of muscle movements, renal failure.
Dosing and Administration.
Locally. With conjunctivitis - eye drops 0.1-0.5%, with laryngitis - lubrication or spraying with a 0.25-0.5% solution, with urethritis and vaginitis - douching with 0.1-0.5% solution.
Inside. For the prevention of hypocincaemia - 10-15 mg per day (physiological body's need for zinc), for therapeutic purposes - 20-50 mg 2-3 times a day, as an emetic - 100-300 mg once.
