Characteristic.

Atypical neuroleptic from the group of substituted benzamides. White or white with a yellowish tinge crystalline powder. Easily soluble in water, little - in ethyl alcohol.

Pharmacological action.
Neuroleptic, antipsychotic, analgesic, snotvornoe, sedation, anxiolytic.

Application.

Dyskinetic and hyperkinetic syndrome (vascular origin, tardive dyskinesias, Tourette's syndrome, acute and chronic chorea, incl. xoreja Gettingtona, tic), tremor, headaches neurogenic origin, severe pain, psychomotor imbalance / excitation, incl. in old age, behavioral disorders (reactive, in old age, alcoholism, incl. aggressiveness), acute alcoholic psychosis with autonomic disorders, withdrawal symptoms in patients with alcoholism and drug addiction.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity, incl. other derivative benzamide, pheochromocytoma (incl. estimated), pregnancy, lactation.

Restrictions apply.

Epilepsy, severe renal insufficiency, Parkinson's disease, severe cardiovascular diseases.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Contraindicated in pregnancy. At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.

Side effects.

From the nervous system and sensory organs: fatiguability, drowsiness, excitation, pozdnyaya dyskinesia, acute neuroleptic syndrome (akathisia, spastic reactions, Trizm, oculomotor disturbances, muscle stiffness, and others.), neuroleptic malignant syndrome (to hyperthermia 40 °C, generalized muscle rigidity, somatovegetativnye violation).

With the genitourinary system: amenorrhea, galactorrhea, hyperprolactinemia, gynecomastia, impotence, frigidity.

Other: orthostatic hypotension, weight gain, allergic skin reactions.

Cooperation.

Compatible with neuroleptics, anxiolytics, antidepressants, analgesics and other neurotropic agents. Not to be combined (enhances the effect of) opioid analgesics, ʙarʙituratami, anxiolytics, antihistaminics, clonidine. At simultaneous application with antihypertensive agents, incl. ACE inhibitors, increased risk of orthostatic hypotension. Incompatible with alcohol and levodopa.

Overdose.

Symptoms: acute or neuroleptic malignant syndrome (extrapyramidal disorder, hyperthermia), impairment of consciousness up to coma.

Treatment: removal of the drug and the appointment of anticholinergic agents, simptomaticheskaya therapy, plasmapheresis.

Dosing and Administration.

Inside, / m. Movement disorders: 300-600 mg/day, 2-3 hours. Reactive state with psychomotor agitation: 600-1200 mg / day. Alcoholism, headache: 200-400 mg / day. After achieving a therapeutic effect to reduce the dose of 100-200 mg / day. Elderly patients - 200-300 mg / day, if necessary, increase the dose. The daily dose for adults with the / m - 400 mg. Psychomotor imbalance, tics: children 7-12 years 50 mg 1-2 times a day. If creatinine clearance 11-20 ml / min, the daily dose should be halved, less 10 ml / min - quadruple.

Precautions.

During treatment, prohibited driving vehicles, service mechanisms and avoid activities, which requires high concentration of attention.
