Characteristic.

White or white with a yellowish tinge crystalline powder. Practically insoluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and chloroform, soluble in acetone, readily soluble in alkaline solutions and diluted hydrochloric acid, it is soluble in methanol.

Pharmacological action.
Antimicrobial, Antibacterial, bacteriostatic.

Application.

Infection (caused by microorganisms sensitive to sulfonamides) respiratory-bronchitis, lobular and lobar pneumonia, bronchopneumonia and others., Psoriasis-cholecystitis, kholangit, the urinary tract — pyelitis, cystitis, urethritis and others., suppurative infection of various localization-wound infection, abscesses, mastitis and others., osteomyelitis, otitis, E Dr sinusitis.; malaria (in combination with antimalarial drugs, especially in forms, resistant to monotherapy), toxoplasmosis.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity, renal failure, azotemia, pregnancy.

Dosing and Administration.
