Excipients: wax emulsion, glycerol, Dextrose liquid, Castor oil, blue dye indigo carmine (E132), quinoline yellow dye (E104), lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, Liquid paraffin, antifoam agent 1510, povidone, sucrose, sorbitol, Titanium dioxide (E171).

Pharmacological action

The preparation with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action for local application in an ENT-practice and stomatology.

Benzalkonium chloride and thymol have antimicrobial properties.

Menthol and essential oil of peppermint have moderate analgesic and deodorizing effect.

Eucalyptus essential oil reduces the secretion of the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract and makes breathing easier.

Dosage regimen

Slowly dissolve (until complete dissolution) in the oral cavity 1 lozenge every 2-3 no.

Adults and children over the age of 12 years It encouraged to take up 8 lozenges / day.

Children under the age of 4 years It encouraged to take up 4 lozenges / day.

Children under the age of 10 years It encouraged to take up 6 lozenges / day.

Should not be taken directly lozenges before meals and with milk.

 

Side effect

Side effects are very rare, if you take lozenges Septolete® at recommended doses.

In people with hypersensitive the drug can cause gastro-intestinal disorders (nausea, diarrhea), the manifestation of which the drug should be discontinued.

 

Contraindications

- Children under 4 years;

- Hypersensitivity to the drug.

 

Pregnancy and lactation

Use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible only under a doctor's recommendation.

 

Cautions

Patients with diabetes should be informed, that each lozenge contains 0.8 g sugar (sucrose, glucose).

IN 1 lozenge contains 218 Lactose mg, 632 Sucrose mg, 152.7 mg sorbitol and the drug should not be taken for patients with lactase deficiency, galaktozemiey, malabsorption syndrome glucose / galactose or deficit isomaltase. The drug should not be taken in patients with congenital fructose intolerance, because it can cause digestive disorders.

 

Overdose

Due to the low concentration of active ingredients in a single lozenge, the possibility of overdose is minimal.

Symptoms: gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, vomiting and diarrhea).

Treatment: should stop taking the drug and seek medical advice.

 

Drug Interactions

Benzalkonium chloride is not recommended for use with other antiseptics, intended for dispersal in the oral cavity.

 

Conditions of supply of pharmacies
