Pharmaceutical form, composition and packaging

Pastilki coated blue, round, lenticular, with smooth surface.

Excipients: essential oil of peppermint, levomenthol, maltitol liquid, maltitol, mannitol, glycerol, Castor oil, magnesium stearate, silica colloidal anhydrous, povidone, Capone 600, Titanium dioxide (E171), dye (E131).

Pharmacological action

The preparation with antimicrobial and Valium action for local application in an ENT-practice and stomatology.

Cetylpyridinium chloride – antiseptic, has antimicrobial, fungicidal and virucidal action.

Benzokain – local anesthetic, reduces pain in swallowing, often accompanied by infectious-inflammatory processes of the mouth and throat.

Septolete® Plus it contains polyols (incl. maltitol, mannitol) and sugarless, allowing you to take the drug for patients with diabetes. Bezsaharnaya Wednesday increases the activity of the antiseptic.

Testimony

Infectious-inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat:

- Pharyngitis;

- Laringit;

- Sore throat (initial stage);

- Gingivitis;

- Stomatitis.

 

Dosage regimen

Adults and children over the age of 12 years It recommended to dissolve on 1 lozenge every 2-3 no, but not more 8 lozenges / day.

Children aged 6 to 12 years It recommended to dissolve lozenge every PA1 4 no, but not more 4 lozenges / day.

Septolete plus should not be taken just before meals and at the same time with milk.

 

Side effect

Using the drug in recommended doses side effects are very rare.

Maybe: allergic reactions, gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, diarrhea), the manifestation of which the drug should be discontinued.

The preparation contains polyols (incl. maltitol, mannitol), which in large doses can cause diarrhea, especially in children.

 

Contraindications

- Children up to age 6 years;

- Hypersensitivity to the drug.

 

Pregnancy and lactation

Use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding perod possible only on doctor's advice.

 

Cautions

Patients with diabetes should be informed, what in 1 lozenge contains approximately 1 Mr. maltilol, which is necessary for the metabolism of insulin. Due to the slow hydrolysis and poor absorption in the gastrointestinal tract maltitol affects plasma glucose concentration slightly.

Effects on ability to drive vehicles and management mechanisms

Evidence that, Septolete plus the drug affects the psychophysical abilities absent.

 

Overdose

Given the amount of active substance, contained in 1 pastilke, the possibility of overdose minimum.

Symptoms: in excess of the recommended dose – disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (nausea, vomiting and diarrhea).

Treatment: should stop taking the drug and seek medical advice.

 

Drug Interactions

No cases of interaction Septolete® plus with other drugs.

Simultaneous reception Septolete® plus food and milk can reduce the local anesthetic and antiseptic effects of the drug.

 

Conditions of supply of pharmacies
