Characteristic.

White or white with a yellow tinge crystalline powder. Easily soluble in water. Hygroscopic. In light of the powder and aqueous solutions acquire blue-green color.

Pharmacological action.
Neuroleptic, antipsychotic, sedation, antiemetic.

Application.

Psychosis, schizophrenia, vomiting during chemotherapy- and radiation therapy, malignant hyperthermia, porphyria.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity, alcoholism, shock and coma, organic CNS, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, CHD, respiratory failure, breast cancer, renal failure, prostate adenoma, blood disease, glaucoma.

Restrictions apply.

Pregnancy. You must stop breast-feeding during treatment. To use caution in children under preparation 12 years.

Side effects.

Extrapyramidal disorders, catalepsy, decline in motivation, headache, dizziness, dyspepsia (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach ache, anorexia), cholestatic hepatitis, hypotension, atony bowel and bladder, photosensitivity, and skin pigmentation, glaucoma attack, amenorrhea, galactorrhea, priapism, agranulocytosis, anemia, allergic reactions.

Cooperation.

It enhances the effect of alcohol, trankvilizatorov, analgesics, hypnotics and for narcosis, as well as hepato- and nephrotoxicity drugs. Reduces the activity of anti-drugs and bromocriptine.

Dosing and Administration.

Adults, inside and/m 10-100 mg every 6-12 hours. The highest daily dose - 2 g.

Children over 12 years are 10-25 mg every 6-12 hours inside or/m. The highest daily dose - 1 g.
