Pharmacological action

The agent for the treatment of head lice. Blocks protective enzymes, secreted by insects. Synergize pyrethrins.

Testimony

Pediculosis (of combined preparations).

Dosage regimen

Dependent on the dosage form.

Side effect

Maybe: hyperemia, itch, burning at the site of application substance; dysfunction of the gastrointestinal tract and poorly marked CNS depression.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to piperonyl butoxide, infected scratches.

Cautions

Avoid getting material on the face, Accidental contact with eyes, rinse them with warm water. Piperonyl butoxide should not swallow or inhale.

Piperonyl butoxide is used in combined preparations with other agents, having insecticidal, incl. with esdepaletrin, pyrethrins, tetramethrin.
