Tumors adipose tissue
Lipoma
Lipoma - A benign tumor of adipose tissue. It occurs at any age, more often in women. Microscopically detected in cytological preparations ordinary fat cells (lipocytes), containing one large fat vacuole (unilokulyarnye cells). Sometimes there are multiple liiotsity and even lots of fat vacuoles (multilokulyarnye cells).
Liposarcoma
Liposarcoma - A malignant tumor of adipose tissue, having a varied structure. There are mostly high-grade, predominantly myxoid (embryonic), mainly cell round and predominantly polymorph (low-grade) liposarcoma.
Mostly highly differentiated liposarcoma
Mostly highly differentiated liposarcoma is characterized by a predominance in cytological preparations of mature fat cells of various sizes with some polymorphisms and nuclear giperhromatoz. The cells in mitosis little. Can meet fibrocytes and fibroblasts, as well as areas with the presence of histiocytes mucilaginized, polymorphic fat cells and stellate cells, containing PAS-positive material. In the case of the predominance of fibrous tissue cells can think of sclerosing liposarcoma.
Mostly myxoid (embryonal) liposarcoma
The punctate tumor on the background of amorphous mass of mucous found scraps of capillaries, stellate and spindle-shaped cells, containing fat droplets in the cytoplasm and its appendages, lipoblasty, UNIL- and multilokulyarnye lipocytes. Cytochemical in lipoblastah glycogen and fat cells revealed, often in high quantities, than fat.
Mostly liposarcoma cell round
The punctate tumors predominate rounded form fat cells with a predominantly centrally located large nucleus and small droplets of fat in the cytoplasm. Unilokulyarnye lipocytes in a small amount. Often there are giant cells with large hyperchromatic nucleus, containing cytoplasmic vacuoles.
Predominantly polymorphic (low-grade) liposarcoma
The cellular composition of the tumor cells presented round shape, different sizes (from small to large) with big, often ugly kernel, characterized by rough chromatin structure. Frequently observed mitotic figures. The cytoplasm of the cells contains small grains of glycogen. In the cytoplasm of large cells have one or more fat droplets. The predominance of small punctate tumor lipocytes indicates its greater malignancy.
