Characteristic.
The 8-hydroxyquinoline.
Crystalline powder yellow-green color with dusky hue, without smell, bitter taste. At 80 °C sublimes. Practically insoluble in water, very slightly soluble in ether, slightly soluble in chloroform and ethanol, difficult - in acetone, easily soluble in hot alkalis and acids.

Application.
Infectious-inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract, caused by susceptible microorganisms (incl. pyelonephritis, cystitis, uretrit), epididymitis; infected adenoma or carcinoma of prostate, etc..); prevention of infectious complications in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions (catheterisation, cystoscopy, after operations on the kidneys and urinary tract).
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity (incl. other derivatives of 8-hydroxyquinoline), renal dysfunction, accompanied by oliguria, anwrïey; severe liver disease, Cataract, neuritis, polyneuritis, deficiency of glucose-6-fosfatdegidrogenazы, pregnancy, lactation.
Side effects.

Dosing and Administration.
