Characteristic.

Yellow or greenish-yellow powder with a bitter taste. Very slightly soluble in water (1:4200), little - in alcohol, soluble in alkalies.

Pharmacological action.
Antimicrobial.

Application.

Acute and dysentery hronicheskaya, chronic suppurative otitis media, infected wounds, ulcers, burns, bedsores, stomatitis, sore throat, conjunctivitis, purulent inflammation of the sinuses, articular and pleural cavities.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity, impairment of renal function, allergic dermatitis.

Side effects.

Nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, dizziness, neuritis, itching, dermatitis.

Dosing and Administration.

Locally; inside, after meal, drinking plenty of fluids.

Sores, bedsores, burns II and III level, Preparation of the granulating surface to transplant skin - Irrigation of affected areas and the imposition of an aqueous solution of a wet bandage; osteomyelitis after surgery - rinsing oral aqueous solution followed by the imposition of wet bandages; empyema - pus suction after washing the pleural cavity and the introduction of 20-100 ml of an aqueous solution; anaerobic infection after surgery - wound treatment with an aqueous solution; conjunctivitis, blepharitis and other microbial damage to eyes - instillation solution in the conjunctival sac, blurring the edges of the eyelids 0,02% ointment; purulent otitis - burial of an alcoholic solution, 0,066% solution 70% alcohol (1:1500). Acute bacterial dysentery in adults - inside, by 100 mg 4-5 times a day for 5-6 days. If necessary, after 3-4 days, repeat the course. Mouthwash 1 Table. (20 mg) dissolved in 100 ml of water.

Precautions.

To reduce the severity of side effects recommended the appointment of antihistamines and vitamin B.
