Pharmacological action.

Application.

Migraine with aura and without aura (mild asthma), migraine status (in the complex therapy).

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity, incl. to sulfonamides, hemiplegic or basilar migraine oftalmoplegicheskaya form, CHD, myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accident, Peripheral Vascular Disease (syndrome, intermittent claudication), uncontrolled hypertension, pregnancy, youthful (to 18 years) and old age.

Side effects.

Paraesthesia, dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, sensation of pain, compression or contraction in the throat and neck, coronary vasospasm, peripheral circulatory disorders, nausea, vomiting.

Cooperation.

Do effect sedatives. Ergotamine and other protivomigrenoznye drugs increase the likelihood of adverse events.

Dosing and Administration.

Inside, during an attack, single 2,5 mg. If migraine symptoms return - again no earlier than after 4 no. The maximum daily dose - 5 mg. To prevent menstrual migraine - 2,5 mg 1 once a day for several days, during or before the onset of menstruation.

Precautions.

In patients with renal and hepatic insufficiency, the daily dose should not exceed 2,5 mg. It is not recommended to prescribe when creatinine Cl is less than 15 ml/min and used for migraine prevention (except catamenial). Should not be used within 24 h after using other triptans or ergotamine and similar drugs.
