Characteristic.

Synthetic steroid antigestagens means. The crystalline powder from light yellow to greenish to yellow with greenish tint.

Pharmacological action.
Antiprogestagennoe.

Application.

Medical termination of intrauterine pregnancy in the early stages (to 42 days of amenorrhea), confirmed pregnancy test; training and induction of labor at term; Emergency (postcoital) contraception during 72 hours after unprotected intercourse or a contraceptive method if the applied cannot be considered reliable (tablets 10 mg); treatment of uterine leiomyoma (up to 12 weeks of pregnancy) (tablets 50 mg).

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity, adrenal insufficiency and long-term treatment with glucocorticoids, acute or chronic renal and / or hepatic insufficiency, porphyria, scarring of the uterus, inflammatory diseases of the female genital organs, the presence of severe extragenital, violation of hemostasis (incl. previous treatment with anticoagulants), anemia. Do not use older women smokers 35 years (without first consulting a therapist).

Abortion: Suspected ectopic pregnancy; pregnancy, not confirmed by clinical studies or for more than 42 days after the cessation of menstruation, pregnancy, emerged on the background of intrauterine kontratseptsivnyh means or after the cancellation of hormonal contraception, hysteromyoma.

For the preparation and induction of labor: severe preeclampsia, preэklampsiya, eclampsia, preterm or post-term pregnancy, hysteromyoma.

Restrictions apply.

To apply caution in patients with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cardiovascular diseases (incl. arterial hypertension, heart rhythm disturbances, congestive heart failure) or predisposition thereto.

Side effects.

Discomfort in the abdomen, weakness, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hyperthermia, skin rash.

Related to the procedure of abortion (additionally): bleeding, lower abdominal pain, inflammation of the uterus and appendages, aggravation of uterine infections and urinary tract infections.

Against the background of combined treatment with misoprostol (additionally): vaginitis, dyspepsia, insomnia, asthenia, scelalgia, anxiety, anemia, decrease in hemoglobin (not more than 2 g / dl), fainting, white.

When emergency contraception (additionally): bleeding from the genital tract, menstrual irregularities.

In the treatment of leiomyoma (additionally): menstrual irregularities, amenorrhea.

Cooperation.

Avoid the use of NSAIDs (including acetylsalicylic acid) due to possible changes in the efficiency.

Overdose.

Symptoms: acute adrenal insufficiency.

Dosing and Administration.

Inside. Abortion: 600 mg dose (in the presence of a doctor), to enhance the effect of mifepristone and misoprostol is prescribed. Precautions.

The occurrence of abundant uterine bleeding may require immediate surgical intervention (curettage). Care should be taken when taking synthetic PG.

Use of the drug requires common activities, concomitant abortion, incl. prevent Rh alloimmunization.

Patients with artificial heart valves, or infective endocarditis with mifepristone should be carried out preventive treatment with antibiotics.
