Characteristic.

The antibiotic oxazolidinone class.

Pharmacological action.
Antibacterial.

Application.

Pneumonia (community-acquired and hospital), skin infections and soft tissue, enterococcal infections, incl. caused by vancomycin-resistant strains of Enterococcus faecalis and Enterococcus faecium and other infections, caused by susceptible Gram-positive aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms, including infections, accompanied by bacteremia.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Maybe, if the effect of therapy outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. Breastfeeding — with caution.

Side effects.

From the nervous system and sensory organs: more 1% - Headache.

Cardio-vascular system and blood (hematopoiesis, hemostasis): more 1% — deviation of hematological indicators (obratimaya anemia, thrombocytopenia), increased blood pressure.

From the digestive tract: more 1% -abdominal pain, spasm, abdominal distention, diarrhea, nausea, abnormalities in liver function tests (total bilirubin, GOLD, IS, shtelochnaya phosphatase), vomiting, dysgeusia, psevdomembranoznыy colitis.

Pharmacodynamic: It increases the pressor effect of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride. Do not combine with sympathy- and Dofaminomimetiki, vasopressors.

Pharmacokinetic: possible simultaneous application of aztreonam and gentamicin (pharmacokinetics does not change).

Dosing and Administration.

Precautions.

Patients, hemodialysis, linezolid administered after dialysis. Keep in mind the possibility of pseudomembranous colitis, reversible anemia and thrombocytopenia (requires monitoring of platelet count and hemoglobin level in patients at risk of bleeding, anemia or a history of thrombocytopenia, and at the same time receiving drugs, reducing the level of hemoglobin or the number or functional properties of platelets, or receiving linezolid for more than 2 Sun).
