Description LASIK

LASIK is a procedure, wherein an excimer laser is used, allowing to perform surgery on the cornea. The operation changes the shape of the cornea, allowing to improve eyesight. The operation can be done in one or both eyes simultaneously, and at various times.

Reasons for LASIK

LASIK is performed, to eliminate the need to wear glasses or contact lenses.

Most people, undergoing LASIK, still have to use reading glasses in middle age and later to correct presbyopia (decreased ability to focus the lens due to age). Possible complications of LASIK

How is LASIK?

Preparation for the procedure

A doctor holds:

• Complete eye examination;
