DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES.
Pharmacological action
Of vegetable origin. The biologically active substances of ginseng (primarily, saponin glycosides, ginsenosides, and essential oils, styrene, Peptides, Vitamins and minerals) It has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, enhances mental and physical performance. Regulates the endocrine glands, slightly reduces blood pressure, as well as cholesterol and serum glucose.

Asthenic conditions of different etiologies; decubation; long-term physical and mental overload; to improve the health and the body's resistance (especially in the elderly).
Dosage regimen
It is recommended to be taken after breakfast on 1 g extract of ginseng root per day.
Side effect
Cardio-vascular system: tachycardia, increased blood pressure, nose bleed.
CNS: sleep disturbance, headache, nervousness, excitation.
From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
Other: gipoglikemiâ, allergic skin reactions.
Contraindications
Arterial hypertension, epilepsy, convulsive status, sleep disorders, acute infectious diseases, Children up to age 12 years, pregnancy, lactation.
Pregnancy and lactation
Ginseng is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation (breast-feeding).
Cautions
In order to avoid sleep disturbance ginseng is not recommended in the afternoon.
To apply caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, diabetic.
At Ginseng clearly expressed seasonality action: the use of the fall and winter is most effective.
Drug Interactions
To apply caution in patients, receiving antidiabetics (enhancement of the effect of hypoglycemic drugs).
With care to apply concurrently with MAO inhibitors.
Together with the application “loop” diuretics increases the risk of developing resistance to them.
With simultaneous use of ginseng enhances the action of stimulants and analeptics (incl. caffeine, camphor).
Antagonizes the interaction with drugs, CNS depressants (incl. ʙarʙituratami, trankvilizatorami, antiepileptic drugs). It enhances the effect of warfarin.
