DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES

Pharmacological action

Product with antimicrobial activity, and mucolytic. Phlegm as the mucous, and purulent. It has a wide spectrum of antimicrobial action. Especially active against Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae and some anaerobes.

Testimony

Treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases, caused by microorganisms sensitive to thiamphenicol, with the presence of thick and viscous secretions, incl. acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchopneumonia and pneumonia, the long-term treatable, bronchiectasis, lung abscesses, emphysema, mukovystsydoz, Bronchiolitis, catarrhal and purulent otitis, gaimority, faringitы, laryngotracheitis. Preparations for bronchoscopy, bronhografii, suction drainage.

Dosage regimen

Doses are given based on thiamphenicol. Enter / m. Adult single dose of 500 mg, частота введения – 2-3 times / day. For children under the age of 2 years, a single dose 125 mg, частота введения – 2 times / day; from 3 to 6 years - by 250 mg 2 times / day; from 7 to 12 years - by 250 mg 3 times / day. If necessary, these doses may be increased over 2 times. It is not recommended to increase the dose in the treatment of newborn, premature infants and patients over 65 years. The course of treatment is not more than 10 days.

For use in a single inhalation dose for adults is 250 mg, для детей – 125 mg, частота проведения процедуры – 1-2 times / day.

The prepared solution can be used for drip infusion intratraheobronhialnogo (through a permanent tube or bronchoscopy), rinsing the nasal passages and sinuses, and processing the eardrum, the surgical field during operations on the nose and mastoid, instillation into the nose and the ear canal. In such cases, the dosage is determined individually.

Side effect

Rarely: allergic reactions, bronchospasm.

At / m administration possible transient disturbances of hematopoiesis: reticulocytopenia, anemia; реже – лейкопения, thrombocytopenia.

At application by inhalation possible stomatitis, rhinitis, nausea.

Contraindications

Anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia (incl. history), expressed human liver and / or kidney, pregnancy, lactation, Hypersensitivity to thiamphenicol, glicinatu acetilcisteinatu.

Cautions

To use caution in patients with renal insufficiency, since the risk of side effects in these patients increases sharply. Application inhalation in patients with bronchial asthma is possible only under medical supervision, while ensuring the free expectoration. In the event the bronchoconstriction treatment should be discontinued.

In the course of treatment is shown periodic monitoring of peripheral blood. In case the number of counts below 4000 / mm and more than granulocytes 40% treatment should be discontinued.

To use caution in premature and newborn children up to 2 weeks.
