Characteristic.
The white crystalline powder. Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, ether, xloroforme, vegetable oils; unstable to light, oxygen, air others. oxidizing factors.
Pharmacological action.
Makes up for the deficiency of vitamin D, regulating calcium-phosphorus metabolism.
Application.
Rickets, bone diseases, caused by violation of calcium metabolism (osteoporosis, Renal osteopathy), dysfunction of the parathyroid glands (incl. tetany), psoriasis, discoid lupus erythematosus, some forms of tuberculosis, epilepsy (children, phenobarbital or phenytoin poluchayushtih).
Contraindications.
Hypercalcemia, active form of tuberculosis, gastrointestinal diseases, liver and kidneys, organic heart disease decompensation.
Restrictions apply.
Be wary appoint elderly persons (because of the possible atherogenic) and pregnant women aged over 35 years.
Side effects.
D-гипервитаминоз.
Cooperation.
The toxic effect is weakened retinoids, tocopherol, ascorbic acid, pantothenic acid, tiaminom, riʙoflavinom, piridoksinom.
Overdose.
Manifested D-hypervitaminosis: loss of appetite, nausea, headache, generalized weakness, irritability, sleep disturbance, fever, changes in the urinalysis, increase of calcium in blood and urine, calcification of soft tissues, kidney, light, vessels.
Treatment: symptomatic.
Dosing and Administration.
Inside. For preventive purposes pregnant and lactating women, children. Dose selected individually.
Precautions.
In the appointment of vitamin D premature babies at the same time it is expedient to introduce phosphates.
