Pharmacological action
Sedativnый phyto. The main active ingredients of hypericum – gipericin, psevdogipericin, hyperforin and flavonoids – improve the functional state of the central and autonomic nervous system.
Deprim® improves mood, normalizes sleep, enhances mental and physical activity.

Dosage regimen
Adults and children over 12 years appoint 1 tab. 3 times / day, or 1 capsule 1 time / day (regularly at the same time); if necessary, the dose may be increased to 2 capsules / day (in 2 admission). Children aged 6 to 12 years – under medical supervision for 1-2 tab. / day in the morning and afternoon.
Optimal effect is achieved when the drug taken regularly for several weeks. The therapeutic effect of the drug Despres® manifested later 10-14 days after start of.
Omitting one receiving the drug should be taken as soon as possible. If it is time for your next dose, should not take extra dose to compensate the missed reception. Do not take two doses at the same time.
The drug is taken orally, drinking water.
Side effect
From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, constipation.
CNS: feeling tired, anxiety.
Allergic reactions: flushing of the skin, itching.
Dermatological reactions: in individuals with hypersensitivity to sunlight simultaneous reception of the drug and sunbathing can cause burns (photosensitivity).
Contraindications
- Severe depression;
- Children up to age 6 years (Pill, coated);
- Children up to age 12 years (Capsule);
- Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Pregnancy and lactation
Despite the lack of data on the harmful effects of the drug, reception Deprima® during pregnancy and lactation is possible only in case, if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child.
Cautions
Patients should be warned, that in the absence of therapeutic effect within 4-6 weeks after the start of treatment should stop taking Deprima® and contact your doctor.

Patients, receiving the drug Despres®, should refrain from drinking alcohol.
Overdose
Symptoms: increased described side effects, generalized weakness, slackness, drowsiness.
Treatment: removal of the drug, Activated carbon.
Acute poisoning St. John's wort preparations in humans is not marked.
Drug Interactions
Deprim® activates the microsomal oxidation (Cytochrome P450), therefore, caution should be prescribed at the same time taking anticonvulsants, Antidepressants (serotonin reuptake inhibitors), tricyclic antidepressanov, MAO inhibitors, protivomigrenoznyh drugs (tryptanov), oral hormonal contraceptives, cardiac glycosides (incl. Digoxin), teofillina, cyclosporine, indinavir, reserpine.
In an application Despres® may potentiate funds for general anesthesia and opioid analgesics.
