Characteristic.
Selective beta2-adrenomimetik. Clenbuterol Hydrochloride - a colorless microcrystalline powder. Very soluble in water, methanol, ethanol; slightly soluble chloroform; insoluble in benzene.
Pharmacological action.
Bronchodilator.
Application.
Bronchial asthma, lung disease syndrome with bronchoobstructive, incl. chronic obstructive bronchitis, emphysema.
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity, thyrotoxicosis, arrhythmia, myocardial infarction (acute phase).
Pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Contraindications in the I trimester of pregnancy and just before birth.
Side effects.
Tachycardia, arrythmia, reduction or increase in blood pressure, tremor of the fingers, anxiety, dry mouth, nausea, kaliopenia, skin rash.
Cooperation.
Beta-blockers reduce or eliminate the effect of clenbuterol. Clenbuterol reduces the effect of insulin and sulfonylureas. In combination with sympathomimetic agents enhances the effects of clenbuterol. Against the background of cardiac glycosides, MAO inhibitors and theophylline increases the risk of cardiac arrhythmias.
Overdose.
Symptoms: tremor of the extremities, anxiety, tachycardia.
Treatment: dose reduction, simptomaticheskaya therapy.
Dosing and Administration.
Inside, inhalation. Inside, adults and children over 12 years 10-20 µg 2-3 times a day, maintenance dose - 10 g 2 once a day. Young children — in small doses, depending on the age, 2 once a day. Inhalation (use respirator) plant 4-7 drops of a solution of clenbuterol syrup in 3-5 ml of distilled water, the duration of the inhalation is a 5-10 min.
Precautions.
It should stop taking shortly before delivery, tk. clenbuterol has a relaxing effect on the muscles of the uterus. Perhaps the development of resistance and the syndrome of "rebound".
