Characteristic.

White amorphous powder or melkoigolchaty. Practically insoluble in water, it is soluble in alcohol.

Pharmacological action.
Diuretic.

Application.

Edematous syndrome: pulmonary edema and brain, congestive heart and kidney failure, cirrhosis of the liver, late toxicosis of pregnancy.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity (incl. to others. sulfonylam), acute renal failure, renal coma, decompensated diabetes, gout, acute hepatitis, kaliopenia, I trimester of pregnancy.

Side effects.

Nausea, stomach ache, dry mouth, thirst, dizziness, muscular weakness, hearing loss, thrombosis and embolism, kaliopenia, chloropenia, giponatriemiya, hyperuricemia, giperglikemiâ.

Cooperation.

Aminoglycoside drugs lithium and increase the risk of nephrotoxic effects. Potassium-sparing diuretics reduce the likelihood of hypokalemia. Probenecid and indomethacin reduce diuretic (salureticheskim) properties.

Dosing and Administration.

Inside, fasting (under the control of diuresis), usually in the morning before breakfast, single 1 mg for 3-5 days in a row, then on 1-2 mg 1 every 2-3 days. In the absence of the desired effect — 2 mg per reception. The highest daily dose 6 mg.

Precautions.

It is necessary to control the level of electrolytes, uric acid and glucose levels.
