Characteristic.

Pharmacological action.

Application.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity, bowel obstruction, perforation of the gastrointestinal tract, dehydration, allergic bronchial asthma or a history, mukovystsydoz, Acute diverticulitis, severe ulcerative colitis.

Side effects.

Heavy and prolonged constipation, enterospasms, diarrhea. Anaphylactoid reactions - wheezing and / or shortness of breath, tightness in the chest, pain in the stomach and lower abdomen, abdominal distention.

Dosing and Administration.

The study of the upper gastrointestinal tract: suspension of 80 g of powder and 100 ml of water is taken orally or injected by gastric tube, for double contrast is added to a suspension of sodium citrate and sorbitol.

X-rays of the colon: suspension of 750 g of powder and 1 l 0,5% aqueous tannin solution is introduced into the rectum an enema.

Precautions.
