Pharmacological action

Mucolytic drugs. The presence in the structure of the molecule acetylcysteine ​​sulfhydryl groups helps break the disulfide bonds of acid mucopolysaccharides sputum, which reduces the viscosity of mucus. The drug remains active in the presence of purulent sputum.
