Pharmacological action

Cardioselective beta1-blocker without intrinsic sympathomimetic activity. Provides antihypertensive, antianginalnoe, and antiaritmicescoe action.

Reduces the stimulating effect on the heart of the sympathetic innervation and circulating Catecholamines in the blood. Has negative Chrono, dromo-, ʙatmo- and inotropic action: reduces heart rate, oppressing conductivity and anxiety, reduces myocardial contractility.
