Aherp is an antiviral drug, highly effective against herpes viruses, in particular to herpes simplex viruses types I and II, as well as to the herpes zoster virus.
Agerp: indications and dosage
The drug Aherp is used for hepatitis infections of the face and lips (Herpes labialis).
For adult patients and children over twelve years of age, Aherp should be applied to areas, affected by herpes infection. Aherp cream should be used 5 once/day, observing a four-hour break (except at night). It is important to start treatment for herpetic lesions as early as possible (preferably immediately after the onset of the first manifestations of the disease).
The minimum duration of treatment is 4 day. If healing is not observed within the specified period of time, it is necessary to extend treatment until 10 Nights. If after 10 recovery did not occur for a day, need to see a doctor.

After entering the cell, affected by the herpes virus, active ingredient of this drug – acyclovir – transforms into active acyclovir triphosphate. The activity of this substance is associated with a disruption of the process of DNA synthesis of herpes viruses in a human cell as a result of inhibition of the function of the viral enzyme DNA polymerase. At the same time, acyclovir does not affect other cellular processes, which are not associated with viral DNA synthesis.
