Pharmacological action
Irreversible inhibitor of β-lactamase.
Sulbactam, not having antibacterial activity (exclusion have Neisseriaceae and Acinetobacter), inhibitors Beta-lactamase, are released by microorganisms, resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics; prevents degradation of penicillins and cephalosporins by the action of beta-lactamase-resistant microorganisms; binding to penicillin binding proteins, shows synergy while the use of penicillins and cephalosporins.
Pharmacokinetics
